Staying Connected on Day 7

“And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out from every difficulty. And He will provide him from sources he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allâh, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allâh will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allâh has set a measure for all things.” (At-Talaq 65 Versus 2 & 3)

It’s hard to believe that in just a few days we would be reaching the 10th day of Ramadan. Alhamdulillah!

Today, fasting reminded me of how one day our bodies will decay. As I was reading the Quran to my son this afternoon, we pondered on many facts of life. We want to stay young forever but the reality is that one day death will come and our bodies will decay. Moreover, fasting reminded us that our bodies being limited to eating and drinking throughout the day and how we endure this in the heat of the summer and longer hours of the day taught us how essential it is to beautify our souls through worship (ibadah).

Insha’Allah I hope your fasting is going easier.

How have you been conneccted to your fasting?
